Phyllostachys Nigra. This is the most exotic and desired bamboo species for its beauty. Creates a great fence or privacy screen. A slow running bamboo, it forms clumps of slender arching canes which turn black after two or three seasons. The abundant lance-shaped leaves are 2–5 in long.

Plant the bamboo Root/Rizome in full sun outdoors. Never let the soil dry out. Planting Instructions Will Be Included. Patience is key. It may take some time for a new shoot to emerge. The 1st year after transplant is spent establishing the root system. 2nd year produces 6 to 8ft canes.
The root ball will contain the rhizome the root joint and some dirt. The poles/Canes Will Be Cut For Shipping. PLEASE SEE PICTURES FOR A REPRESENTATION OF WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE. These will have a growing cane cut off upon arrival. A new shoot will emerge just be patient.
