TWO (2) uber rare original vintage EAMES LA FONDA Chair with the even rarer Alexander Girard original purple melange pin check fabric (the thread composition appears to be purple, blue, and pink if you look closely, but the overriding color impression is purple).
NOTE: THE PRICE IS FOR THE ARMSHELLS ONLY. NO BASES, NO SCREWS.
* Original vintage La Fonda bases are available for purchase separately in another listing.
Stunning chair with a sleek silhouette. Looks absolutely gorgeous from every angle.
"Herman Miller" embossed on the bottom of the cream parchment armshell.
Overall good vintage condition with age appropriate wear, notably superficial surface soiling on the fabric (which can be removed with the proper cleaner) and minor seat impressions (which go away in time with use), and the seat is firm (most of the fabric upholstered chairs are more firm than the naugahyde upholstered chairs, which are injected with more cushion).
This is a true collector's chair, vintage and all-original in a rare style and the ever-desirable and highly-coveted purple Girard fabric.
This is a must-have for serious Eames and Girard collectors, so don't miss this opportunity to own this all-original vintage, classic collectible chair.
Final sale, no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges, so please examine all photos prior to purchase.
