A: We recommend using our tie dye products on fabrics that are 100% natural, such as cotton, rayon and silk. It will not work well with polyester and if the material is not 100% cotton, it may not adhere well to the fabric
Q: How many shirts can you tie dye powder refills with one kit?
A: Generally, Each bottle of tie dye powder can create up to15-20 medium sized adult t-shirts. This depends on the overall color coverage, as well as fabric’s saturation.If using the scoop provided, start with 4 scoops (1scoop=1g) of dye powder, add to 100ml bottle of tap water and shake to mix well.
Q: How long does it take the dye to set? How to wash after dye?
A: After letting dye set 8 hours (or longer like 24 hours for most intense colors), fully rinse dyed fabric in cold water until all extra dye is removed and water runs clear. Wash and dry separately. It is recommended to wash newly dyed items separately from other clothing for the first few washes.
Q: Is the dye non-toxic? What if I get it on my hands or clothes will it was off ? Will this product stain the skin?
A: Our tie dye powder are made of natural raw materials, non-toxic, tasteless and has passed multiple strict test and comformed to MSDS, which ensure that different ages can enjoy the fun of dyeing clothing in a safety. But for easy clean, it is always recommended to use gloves when apply dye.
Q: How long does the dye last on clothes, is it permanent colour or washes off after a while?
A: The dye is permanent when used on 100% natural fibers such as cotton. If you use this on synthetic fibers like polyester, it will not hold.
