Traditional, Nutritious, Convenient.
With Cuban and Panamanian roots, and extended family from Mexico and Puerto Rico, my brother and I craved the traditional flavors we grew up with. Neither of us had the time to prepare meals from scratch, and nothing on the shelf came close in flavor or nutrition. We realized that the problem—no clean-label, convenient Latin staples—was a considerable gap in the marketplace, and in 2017 set about filling it.
We cut no corners, and took no liberties. Because of the rigorous research and development behind each recipe, the final products are faithful to the dishes we grew up eating. Opening and heating any of our pouches can be a transformative experience for the uninitiated. Our hope is that our products remind some people of home, and welcome many others into ours.
We often hear from customers who thank us for refusing to compromise. These aren't your typical customer accolades; we have a dedicated following of people who are unafraid to detail their passion for our Latin American staples, and it has become a tradition within our company to read aloud and document the flattering things they have to say about FILLO'S. Nothing could be more rewarding than making those connections.
